AnnMarie Iadanza Munoz, founder of The Calling Store, was raised in Medford Lakes, New Jersey, as the beloved daughter of MaryAnn Iadanza and Deacon John Iadanza. Deeply influenced by her parents' unwavering Catholic faith, she cherishes being known as “The Deacon’s Daughter.” From childhood to the present day, AnnMarie has experienced many personal callings from Jesus, turning to His presence for comfort, peace, and guidance throughout her life. She has personally witnessed the healing touch and grace of Jesus on numerous occasions, shaping her journey and inspiring her mission.

During the 2023 Lenten Season, AnnMarie felt a deep call from Jesus to walk in His steps. She reached out to her father, Deacon John Iadanza, and asked him to help arrange a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Believing she was being led to Israel, she was confused when the trip was postponed and ultimately redirected to Rome due to the outbreak of war.

Still committed to following His call, AnnMarie traveled to Rome, not realizing it would lead her to the Scala Sancta—the Holy Stairs. These marble steps, encased in wood to preserve them, are believed to be the very ones Jesus ascended to face judgment by Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem. Though unaware of their full significance at the time—and in pain from previous knee surgery—she climbed each step on her knees, as tradition requires. Only later did she learn the truth: these were the steps of Christ. In that moment, she understood—she had answered His call after all, walking quite literally in His steps.

Three days before the one-year anniversary of her Pilgrimage to Italy, AnnMarie lost her job unexpectedly. Rather than feeling scared or upset, she felt excited and elated—convinced that Jesus was guiding her toward a new path. For years, she had felt an increasing call to share His message, but struggled to find time alongside her full-time work. Then, on the morning of April 12, 2025—just days after losing her job—she experienced a powerful moment: at Mass, she felt Jesus looking straight into her eyes. Inspired and resolute, she immediately shared this encounter with her husband and co‑founder, Donny Munoz. That very day, they embraced their calling by purchasing their domain, TheCallingStore.com, and launched their journey under the store’s guiding mantra: “Walking in His Steps.”
